Former Premier League manager Sam Allardyce believes that Jack Grealish could be good enough to play for the likes of Barcelona and Real Madrid.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that the 24-year-old is a priority target for fellow Premier League side Manchester United ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
However, Allardyce feels that his displays this season for Villa are certain to attract the attention of European clubs like Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Speaking on talkSPORT’s Sports Breakfast show, he said:
He’s the key element in everything Villa do. He’s looking like a real player.
I think that is going to create a massive interest amongst the European clubs because of the quality he shows, the calmness, his final pass & the finish now.
It wouldn’t be beyond a club like Barca or Real looking at him.
However, many fans of rival clubs believe that Grealish is being incredibly overhyped by the media for his recent displays.
The Englishman does have a decent attacking return so far this season, scoring nine goals and registering seven assists in all competitions (Transfermarkt).
The longer he keeps up this good form, the more we feel his valuation may increase and these rival fans took to Twitter to make their feelings known about Allardyce’s comments and the recent hype surrounding Grealish.
