Aston Villa manager Dean Smith has revealed that defender Ezri Konsa is fit for this Sunday’s Premier League clash with Tottenham Hotspur.
As stated on the club’s official website, Smith confirmed that Konsa was back in training and is ready to play at Villa Park.
As reported on the Express and Star, Konsa was forced off early in Villa’s last match against Bournemouth with a muscular injurybut Smith confirmed that he has made a full recovery from the issue.
He said:
He felt something in his thigh at half-time so we brought him off, but he had three or four days off and then he came back in and he’s been back training ever since.
So he’s fine and he’s fit.

The 22-year-old has made 19 appearances in all competitions for Villa so far this season, which we feel shows his importance to the team at the moment.
We believe that his fitness is a big boost for Villa ahead of the clash with Tottenham because he has been an important figure in Smith’s back three in recent matches.
Smith seems to be encouraging his players to pass the ball out from the back and that suits Konsa, proven by the fact that he has made 450 passes in the league this season.
Playing against Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham won’t be an easy task for Villa, but having Konsa available is atill a huge boost.
