Aston Villa defeated rivals West Bromwich Albion on penalties in last season’s Championship play-off semi-finals after the tie finished 2-2 on aggregate.
As reported on BBC Sport, goalkeeper Jed Steer saved West Brom’s first two penalties to help Villa advance into the final.
Steer saved from Mason Holgate and Ahmed Hegazi, before Tammy Abraham coolly slotted home to send Villa to Wembley.
Some Villa fans still can’t stop praising Steer for his immense display and mind games during the tense shootout.
The goalkeeper still plays for the club but suffered a calf injury in November during a Premier League encounter with rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers, which was his first league appearance of the season.
One Aston Villa fan account posted a full replay of the penalties on Twitter and several other fans flocked to the post to show their appreciation to Steer for playing a big part in helping Villa earn promotion to the Premier League.
