Aston Villa confirmed on their official Twitter account that they will be wearing their home colours in the upcoming Carabao Cup final and many fans expressed their delight at the news.
Dean Smith’s men take on Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City at Wembley Stadium in the final of the competition next month.
As stated on the club’s official website, this is the third consecutive season that Villa will play at Wembley in their traditional claret and blue kit.
The players will wear claret shirts with blue sleeves, white shorts and sky blue socks, whilst the Villa goalkeeper will be in lime green.
Villa overcame the challenge of high-flying Leicester City in the semi-final of the tournament, whilst City defeated arch-rivals Manchester United to give themselves the opportunity to defend their crown.
City coasted to Carabao Cup glory last season on penalties in the final, defeating Maurizio Sarri’s Chelsea.
These Villa fans reacted with excitement to the news that they’ll be in their home kit for the final.
