Aston Villa’s Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur this Sunday is not expected to be at risk of cancellation due to adverse weather conditions, according to a report on The Mirror.
The report reveals that conditions should have calmed sufficiently in time for Villa’s encounter with Spurs and Arsenal’s match against Newcastle, meaning neither match is at risk of being called off.
As reported on The Telegraph, the UK is set to be hit by plenty of disruption this weekend due to Storm Dennis, with heavy rain and snow predicted across the country over the next couple of days.

The news comes as a boost for both teams because it means that their plans may not be disrupted. The encounter is crucial at both ends of the table, with Spurs pushing for a top-four spot and Villa fighting to avoid relegation back to the Championship.
Having a match cancelled and rearranged for both clubs may not be something that would be welcomed because of the number of matches remaining and the short space of time between them.
Villa are in the Carabao Cup final meaning that their league clash with Sheffield United has already been postponed, whilst Spurs are still in the FA Cup and UEFA Champions League, so both teams can’t afford any rearrangements at the moment.
