Goalkeeper Pepe Reina was in sparkling form for Aston Villa against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.
The visitors ended up winning the match 3-2 after Heung-Min Son’s stoppage-time winner, but the game would have been finished a lot earlier if it wasn’t for the heroics of Reina.
The Spaniard made multiple saves to keep Villa in the match on several occasions and even saved Son’s penalty in the first half, only for the South Korean to tap in the rebound.
After the season-ending injury to Englishman Tom Heaton, Dean Smith turned to Reina, signing him on a loan deal from Italian side AC Milan until the end of the season.
As stated on the official Premier League website, the goalkeeper has made four appearances in the top-flight this season, making 13 saves and no errors that have led to goals.
Many Villa fans took to Twitter to praise the 37-year-old former Liverpool shot-stopper for his impressive display.
