Mbwana Samatta was handed his second league start for Aston Villa by manager Dean Smith against Tottenham Hotspur.
The attacker netted on his debut against Bournemouth but did not find the net as the hosts fell to a 3-2 defeat against Jose Mourinho’s men last Sunday.
However, his all-round display has left many Villa fans impressed with the Tanzanian international.
As seen on WhoScored, Samatta had three shots and made two key passes, which shows that he was a constant attacking threat whilst he was on the pitch.
However, he did seem to be pretty isolated up front, proven by the fact that he only had 32 touches of the ball, which was the lowest from the all the players who started the match for the home side.
The January arrival was replaced with just under ten minutes remaining for fellow new arrival Borja Baston and many fans have taken to Twitter to show their appreciation towards Samatta.
