According to a report on Le Phoceen, Premier League side Aston Villa are interested in signing Morgan Sanson if they manage to avoid relegation to the Championship this season.
The midfielder is valued above €35m by Olympique Marseille, according to Le10 Sport, who reported about West Ham United’s approach for the Frenchman earlier this season.
However, Villa’s fanbase seems to be pretty split regarding the transfer rumour.
Many believe that he is a great player to sign, one who could lead the team to the UEFA Europa League, whilst others are not getting too excited by the news and refuse to believe that such a transfer will happen.
The midfielder is also a target for fellow top-flight sides Manchester United, Tottenham Hotspur and Everton, according to the Express.
Villa are currently just one point away from the dreaded relegation zone and will face Manchester City in Sunday’s Carabao Cup final at Wembley.
Some Villa fans on Twitter can’t see the club making such a signing, whilst others feel it is a possibility.
