Aston Villa confirmed the signing of teenager Louie Barry in the January transfer window from FC Barcelona and now fans want to see him in action.
The young Englishman made his competitive debut for Aston Villa’s Under-23 side earlier this week and put in an impressive display.
As reported on the Birmingham Mail, Barry came on from the bench in the second half and provided two assists as Villa cruised to a 3-0 victory over Portsmouth.
Now, many of the club’s fans want to see Dean Smith promote him to the first team for this weekend’s Carabao Cup final clash with Manchester City.
Barry left West Bromwich Albion to join Barcelona last summer but failed to make a lasting impression with the Spanish giants.
The youngster has revealed his desire to play first-team football and if he keeps impressing for Villa’s youth teams, we feel it may not be too long until he makes his senior debut.
These fans on Twitter are hoping that it comes at Wembley on Sunday.
