Aston Villa have made some forgettable signings in the past and Lovre Kalinic certainly falls into that category.
The keeper arrived at Villa Park at the start of 2019 and was expected to play a big part as the club looked to win promotion back to the Premier League.
As it turns out, the club achieved their goal of returning to the top-flight, although the Croatian didn’t do much, as he lost his place to Jed Steer just weeks after joining after a series of blunders.
Since then, several new keepers coming through the door pushed Kalinic further down the pecking order and he eventually joined French side Toulouse on loan in the January window.
Nevertheless, he remains on Villa’s books, so the club sent out a tweet to the stopper earlier today as he celebrates his 30th birthday.
Happy birthday, Lovre Kalinić! 🥳 #AVFC pic.twitter.com/z5O5Ksw3mw

It’s fair to say the message brought a lot of negative responses from the fans, who clearly don’t rate the giant keeper much at all.
Here we look at some of the comments…
Forgot about him 😂
