Tyrone Mings a possible target for Manchester United
England centre-back Tyrone Mings is one of three players who Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has apparently targeted in the next transfer window to bring in to partner Harry Maguire.
ESPN report that Manchester United have shown an interest in Bournemouth’s Nathan Ake and AC Milan’s Alessio Romagnoli as well as Mings.
The report suggests that Paul Pogba remaining at Old Trafford this season means that United can look to spend money elsewhere when the upcoming transfer window opens.
Mings has been a prominent feature in the Villa team this season and has performed very well when called upon by the national team too
Solskjaer is reportedly after a long-term partner for Maguire, and at 27-years-old, Mings is just coming into his prime.
Both Mings and Nathan Ake are in danger of relegation to the Championship this season, which could see United come in for one of the defenders with a cut-price offer.

Mings has been impressive this season and it’s unsurprising that he’s being linked elsewhere, especially if Villa drop back down to the Championship.
However, the report is only suggesting that Mings is an option for Solskjaer, not a number one target.
Only two defenders to have played over half of the Premier League season have been dribbled past fewer times than #AVFC’s Tyrone Mings.

Romagnoli is a very well established player at Milan and is only 25-years old, which could be a deciding factor if he was to be available to the Red Devils.
Ake is another player that’s become a very good Premier League centre- half and with Bournemouth’s future looking very uncertain in the division, he could well be another viable option too.
It’s not out of the realms of possibility that United come in for Mings, especially if Villa are relegated, but the Villans will hopefully be able to stay in the division and keep hold of their England international.
