Aston Villa suffered a second consecutive Premier League defeat on Sunday afternoon, losing 4-3 to Southampton.
Dean Smith‘s side started the new season with an impressive four wins out of four but the defeat on Sunday was their second in as many games.
Goals from Jannik Vestergaard, James Ward-Prowse (2) and Danny Ings put the visitors 4-0 ahead as the home side looked stunned.
Tyrone Mings pulled one goal back for on the hour mark, before Ollie Watkins and Jack Grealish struck in stoppage time to add some respectability to the final score.
Their 100% start to the season now seems a fading memory, with these supporters taking to Twitter to vent their fury at the manager after he commended the way in which his team fought back from 4-0 down. One fan is adamant that Smith “needs to learn” from such chastening defeats:
