Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz has backed himself and his teammates to have a good season in an interview with the club’s official website.
The Brazilian has been quite a revelation at Villa Park since his arrival from Premier League rivals Manchester City last summer.
Performing at a high standard for Dean Smith’s side, Luiz has somewhat solidified his place in the centre of midfield, making 49 appearances already for the Villans.
Featuring in all six of Villa’s league games so far this season, the former Man City midfielder has been discussing his side’s capabilities after winning the opening four games of the season, which included a 7-2 thrashing of champions Liverpool.
Villa’s official Twitter channel shared one comment in particular from the 22-year-old:
