Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to a video shared by the club’s official Twitter account which shares Dion Dublin‘s top 10 moments.
Having had spells with Manchester United and Coventry City prior to his 1998 move to Villa Park, Dublin was one of English football’s most impressive strikers in that decade, finishing the Premier League’s joint-top scorer in the 1997/98 season.
Making an immediate impression for the Midlands outfit, Dublin scored seven goals in his first four games. In total, he would go on to score 56 goals for the Villains in 156 appearances.
After leaving Villa Park in 2004 for Leicester City, Dublin would go on to play for Celtic and Norwich City before calling time on his playing career.
Looking back on the 22-year anniversary of Dublin’s arrival at Villa, the club’s Twitter account put together a video of the striker’s top 10 moments.
