Many Aston Villa fans have reacted to Dean Smith‘s inclusion in the nominees for the Premier League Manager of the Month award for October.
The Villa Park outfit battled hard against relegation last season to remain in England’s top flight and the new season saw them start brilliantly
Winning the opening four games of the season, Smith’s side produced a 7-2 victory over champions Liverpool in one of those, duly moving them up to second in the table.
Set to face Arsenal this weekend, Smith will be hoping to recapture that form, with his team losing their last two games as their perfect start to 2020/21 ground to a halt.
As recognition of Villa’s impressive opening to the campaign, the 49-year-old has been nominated for the Premier League’s manager of the month award, alongside Nuno Espirito Santo (Wolves), Ralph Hasenhuttl (Southampton), Jose Mourinho (Tottenham Hotspur) and David Moyes (West Ham United).
Reacting to their manager’s inclusion, these Villa fans took to Twitter and shared varied responses…
