Many Aston Villa fans have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts after Ross Barkley was nominated for the Premier League’s best goal of October.
The Chelsea man arrived on loan at Villa Park a few weeks ago and his performances have been impressive, earning an average match rating of 7.49 out of 10 from WhoScored.com.
Perhaps the highlight of Barkley’s loan spell thus far was his stoppage time winner away to Leicester three weeks ago, which has been nominated for the Premier League’s Goal of the Month award for October, alongside the likes of West Ham’ Manuel Lanzini and Leeds’ Patrick Bamford.
