David Ornstein of The Athletic claimed that Carney Chukwuemeka won’t be loaned out in January as Aston Villa want to continue developing him at Bodymoor Heath.
The 17-year-old is highly rated at Villa and signed a professional contract in October as reward for his progression in the academy.
Chukwuemeka has been a regular for the under-23s and has already caught the eye of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur, so his future looks bright. Christian Purslow has been full of praise for the midfielder too, calling him the best England has to offer in his age group (as per The Athletic).
Dean Smith named four players (Kaine Kesley, Cameron Archer, Indiana Vassilev, Jacob Ramsey) under the age of 18 in the matchday squad last season and has given four appearances and 245 minutes of football to a 19-year-old Ramsey this term, so Chukwuemeka is at the right club to develop.

So long as he can continue developing in the reserves, Chukwuemeka could soon be rewarded with a call-up to the senior side and possibly repay the faith set to be shown in him by his club.
In other news, Aston Villa could sanction a loan move for one of their up-and-coming players in January.
