Aston Villa have the likes Jack Grealish, Anwar El Ghazi, Trezeguet and Bertrand Traore to call upon, but Gregg Evans of The Athletic believes they might be on the hunt for another forward when the winter transfer window opens.
This may be down to El Ghazi (three goals), Trezeguet (one assist) and Traore (one goal, two assists) having a hand in only seven goals between them in the Premier League – four fewer goal involvements than Grealish on his own.
A new face could inject more goals into the team and Evans believes that Jonathan Bamba is the ideal man. The 24-year-old has scored five goals and supplied six assists in 16 Ligue 1 games for Lille this season, creating 25 chances, making 30 successful dribbles and whipping in 51 crosses (WhoScored)

Evans noted that Bamba has ‘destroyed opponents’ in France and has all the attributes Dean Smith would want in a wide-man, but it remains to be seen if Lille would sell.
The Frenchman has two-and-a-half years left on his deal at the Stade Pierre Mauroy and is a key player, so he may have to force a move if he wants out.
In other news, Aston Villa are unlikely to bring one current Premier League striker back to the club.
