Aaron Ramsey is yet to make a first team appearance for Aston Villa, but he is rated highly in the academy and could have a bright future given how much he has developed at a young age. The 17-year-old is already a regular for the under-23s and has attracted interest from abroad.
Ramsey’s deal at Villa Park expires in July and the Daily Mail has reported that Ajax and Celtic (who have five European Cups between them) are looking to capitalise on the situation, so Villa have a task on their hands to keep him in the Midlands. The Claret and Blues don’t want to let the teenager go and have offered him a new deal beyond 2021, but his future is up in the air as he has yet to put pen to paper on a new deal (Daily Mail).
Ramsey is regarded as one of the best players in Villa’s academy, scoring six goals and supplying three assists in 17 games for the under-18s while bagging three goals and one assist in 13 games for the under-23s, but there’s a real danger that he could leave while his contract situation is unresolved.

Ramsey will decide his own future.
He has trained with the first team and has an offer on the table from Villa, so there’s little else the Claret and Blues can do to convince him to stay. Hopefully he can resist the overtures from his feted suitors from Glasgow and Amsterdam.
