Tammy Abraham could be on his way out of Chelsea this summer after Simon Johnson of The Athletic reported that the 23-year-old was considering his future following the news that the Blues are actively pursuing Erling Haaland – and many Aston Villa fans duly want him back in the Midlands.
Not only could Haaland’s potential arrival push Abraham down the pecking order, Olivier Giroud’s resurgence hasn’t helped matters. The Englishman has started only 12 of Chelsea’s 25 Premier League games this season and been an unused substitute in two of their previous four (Transfermarkt).
The 23-year-old came of age during a season-long loan spell at Aston Villa in 2018/19 after scoring 25 league goals and helping the Claret and Blues seal promotion to the Premier League (Transfermarkt)
Although it was reported by The Athletic in recent weeks that Dean Smith’s side are unlikely to return for Abraham, there are plenty of fans keen on bringing him back given his previous success and the reports of a potential exit from Stamford Bridge:
