Kortney Hause was an unused substitute in Aston Villa’s 3-2 defeat to Watford on Saturday, but he’s not letting it get him down if his Instagram story is anything to go by.
The 26-year-old posted a video on social media signing in his car and captioning the clip ‘carpool karaoke’ as he listened to True Love by Nigerian singer Wizkid from his ‘Made in Lagos’ album.

Hause was left on the bench against Watford and might be given similar treatment against Newcastle United on Saturday afternoon. The returning Axel Tuanzebe was also unused.
Tyrone Mings and Ezri Konsa were formidable at centre-back last season, so Dean Smith is unlikely to tamper with a tried and tested partnership. There is the possibility of playing with three at the back, however, so that may open the door for Hause or Tuanzebe to feature.
The former joined Villa on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers in January 2019 and turned the move permanent in July. He’s made a total of 46 appearances in all competitions, scoring three goals. Although he’s not commanding a starting place, it’s positive to see Hause in good spirits.
