Aston Villa welcome Burnley to Villa Park on Saturday afternoon and Jacob Ramsey looks primed to make his fourth consecutive Premier League start after impressing in Tuesday’s 2-0 win over Norwich City.
The 20-year-old has made 15 Premier League appearances this season, scoring two goals, the last of which was a brilliant solo effort against the Canaries. He’s flourishing under Steven Gerrard and was hailed by fans on social media after a picture was posted on Twitter by the club’s official account.
Ramsey has earned his spot in the first-team after impressing at youth level. He scored 16 goals with four assists in 38 games for the U18s and boasted eight goals with seven assists in 27 games for the U23s. And after scoring three goals in seven games while on loan at Doncaster Rovers, Ramsey was promoted.
He’s gone on to make a total of 43 appearances across the board at senior level and now finds himself a regular. Ramsey has a former world class midfielder in Gerrard to learn from too, so his future at Villa Park looks bright.
