Alejandro Garnacho could make his first appearance for Aston Villa when Unai Emery’s side face Indonesia All Stars in Jakarta.
The Aston Villa predicted XI features several changes following Tuesday’s 4-2 defeat against Real Sociedad, with Pau Torres and Lamare Bogarde also pushing to start.
Villa face a team containing leading players from Indonesia’s domestic competition at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium on Saturday.
Kick-off is scheduled for 7pm local time, which is 1pm in the UK. The match will also be available live through VillaTV, according to Aston Villa’s official tour announcement.
Garnacho has travelled to Indonesia after completing his move from Chelsea. He was among several senior players spotted arriving with Villa’s squad in Jakarta, alongside Torres, John McGinn and Tammy Abraham.
Aston Villa predicted XI against Indonesia All Stars
Marco Bizot could retain his place in goal, with Matty Cash and Ian Maatsen continuing at full-back.
Torres is in contention for his first start of pre-season after completing 45 minutes against Real Sociedad. Emery could partner him with Tyrone Mings, despite both centre-backs preferring to operate on the left side.
Bogarde may return in midfield alongside João Gomes. The Brazilian made his first Villa start on Tuesday and should receive further minutes before the new season.
Garnacho is expected to feature on the right, with Emi Buendía operating from the opposite flank. George Hemmings deserves another opportunity after scoring twice during Villa’s opening three friendlies.
Brian Madjo could lead the attack after scoring three pre-season goals. The 17-year-old has taken his opportunities while Emery waits for his senior forwards to return to full fitness.
Predicted Aston Villa XI, 4-2-3-1: Bizot; Cash, Mings, Torres, Maatsen; Bogarde, João Gomes; Garnacho, Hemmings, Buendía; Madjo.
Score prediction: Indonesia All Stars 1-3 Aston Villa.
