Aston Villa welcome Norwich City to Villa Park on Saturday afternoon and are in desperate need of a win. The hosts are coming off the back of four defeats and a draw from their last five Premier League games, but it’s their lack of goals that may worry Steven Gerrard. Villa have been shutout in […]
Aston Villa have been in freefall of late and risk being dragged into the relegation zone unless they can arrest the slide, but Steven Gerrard doesn’t believe his side are fighting for survival. Norwich City are 20th with 21 points from 33 games, Watford are 19th with 22 points from 33 games and Everton are […]
Trezeguet has an uncertain future at Aston Villa after falling down the pecking order and being loaned out to Istanbul Basaksehir in February, but his form away from Villa Park might give Steven Gerrard pause for thought. The Villa boss has been ruthless cutting deadwood from the squad, loaning out Wesley Moraes to Internacional, Anwar […]
Morgan Sanson has struggled for form, fitness and playing time since joining Aston Villa, so it wouldn’t be a shock to see him leave this summer. The 27-year-old hasn’t managed to hold down a starting place in the Midlands and Football Insider say he might have an opportunity to return to France this summer, so […]
Matt Targett continues to impress while on loan at Newcastle United and is expected to turn his move permanent this summer. The 26-year-old will make the switch to St James’ Park if the Magpies match his £15m release clause and Frank McAvennie believes it’s a no brainer. Targett was a regular at Aston Villa before […]
Leon Bailey played a full 90 minutes in Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw with Leicester City but didn’t put in a good performance. Aston Villa drew 0-0 with Leicester City on Saturday afternoon and Tyrone Mings was one of many players to put in a good performance. Marvelous Nakamba has been sidelined with injury for much of the season, Morgan Sanson doesn’t have his manager’s trust to start a […]
Matt Targett has an uncertain future at Aston Villa, as he’s currently on loan at Newcastle United after being surplus to requirements in the Midlands. But the 26-year-old may not be joining the Magpies permanently this summer, paving the way for a shock return to Bodymoor Heath. Targett probably thought his time at Villa was […]
Ollie Watkins has an uncertain future at Aston Villa as he’s not had the best season and is playing under a ruthless manager who isn’t afraid to replace any underperformers.
