He was first choice between the sticks upon his 2019 arrival from Burnley but lost his place after suffering a serious knee injury just over a year ago. The 34-year-old has since returned to fitness but finds himself as an unused substitute for 2020 newcomer Emiliano […]
Henri Lansbury is surplus to requirements at Aston Villa. He was omitted from the Premier League squad in October, was offered the chance to terminate his contract early and has found himself behind Conor Hourihane, Jacob Ramsey, Marvelous Nakamba, Douglas Luiz, John McGinn and Ross Barkley in the midfield pecking order. Lansbury was told by […]

Aston Villa signed Morgan Sanson on a four-and-a-half-year deal from Marseille this week and Dean Smith has a dilemma on where he’ll play given how settled the starting XI has been. Douglas Luiz, John McGinn and Ross Barkley have made up a midfield triangle for Villa this season, but Barkley might be fearful of losing […]
Wesley Moraes has been sidelined with a serious knee injury since January of last year, Mbwana Samatta is on loan at Fenerbahce and Keinan Davis has been short of form and playing time this season, so Aston Villa need a striker to take the scoring burden off Ollie Watkins. The 27-year-old Zimbabwean started alongside Douglas Luiz in midfield in Saturday’s 2-0 […]
