Jacob Ramsey looks to have a bright future at Aston Villa after making his Premier League debut this season and being a regular in the matchday squad since November, so the Midlands outfit have no desire to let him go out on loan in January. The 19-year-old could get regular game-time elsewhere for the next […]
It’s no secret that Keinan Davis has an uncertain future at Aston Villa. He has been short of form and game-time under Dean Smith and is likely to be pushed further down the pecking order when Wesley Moraes returns from injury. It’s also no secret that Smith needs Davis for backup in case Ollie Watkins […]
Bjorn Engels could be on his way out of Aston Villa as he has been short of game-time under Dean Smith and was linked with a move away before the January transfer window opened. The 26-year-old is yet to make an appearance this season and finds himself behind Tyrone Mings, Kortney Hause and Ezri Konsa […]
Aston Villa have been linked with a move for Matias Vecino, but it remains to be seen whether he’d make the switch from Inter Milan as he has been sidelined with a knee injury for most of the season. The 29-year-old had surgery in July and was still recovering last month, so he has yet […]
Keinan Davis has an uncertain future at Aston Villa as he has been short of form and game-time this season, but it seems unlikely that he will leave in January. The Daily Mail reported that Championship outfit Stoke City are trying to lure him away from Villa Park, but their pursuit will not be successful as […]
Aston Villa have Jack Grealish, Ross Barkley for creativity in midfield, but Dean Smith wants more firepower and Corriere dello Sport have claimed (via Sport Witness) that Christian Eriksen is the player he has identified to improve the squad. The 28-year-old joined Inter Milan from Tottenham last January and has gone on to make 38 […]
Trezeguet has been short of goals and assists for Aston Villa this season and Dean Smith may need an upgrade in the January transfer window, but one player who won’t be coming to Villa Park is Emiliano Buendía. The 24-year-old is on Dean Smith’s radar, but Norwich City have no desire to let him go […]
Neil Taylor is out of favour under Dean Smith and out of contract next summer, so Aston Villa will need a replacement left-back when the season comes to a close. Sky Sports claimed that a left-back is on Villa’s radar in January and Amie Wilson of Birmingham Live noted that Jordan Amavi’s contract at Marseille […]
Although Aston Villa have a strong starting XI, they are lacking depth in midfield and could do with strengthening the engine room now that the January transfer window is open. Dean Smith has Marvelous Nakamba, Douglas Luiz, Ross Barkley, John McGinn, Conor Hourihane, Henri Lansbury and Jacob Ramsey, but Lansbury was left out of Villa’s […]
Paul Doyle of The Guardian recently wrote that Henri Lansbury might be loaned out before the January transfer window shuts, but Aston Villa could struggle to offload him due to his lofty wages and unwillingness to leave. Dean Smith doesn’t expect any outgoings this month, either. The 30-year-old is out of contract at the end […]
Paul Doyle of The Guardian recently claimed that Neil Taylor might be loaned out by Aston Villa before the January transfer window shuts, but it’s hard to see such a move being greenlit as it would leave Dean Smith short at left-back. The Welshman is out of favour at Villa Park and won’t be happy […]
Bjorn Engels has an uncertain future at Aston Villa after struggling for playing time this season. The 26-year-old has spent most of the campaign as an unused substitute or being left out of the matchday squad, falling behind Tyrone Mings, Kortney Hause and Ezri Konsa in the pecking order. Engels is an afterthought under Dean […]
