Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood will have to make some tough decisions on who to play, for the game on Saturday, at Crystal Palace.
Players of Jack Grealish, Carles Gil, and Adama Traore are all in contention to now play, after playing for the U21’s against Derby County, last night.
Grealish scored the only goal in the game as Villa won 1-0, Grealish and Traore played the full 90 minutes, as they both look like they are raring to go for the game against Palace, at the weekend.
Unfortunately for Carles Gil, he came off after 71 minutes, with a tight groin strain, although, it wasn’t the ankle injury that he is recovering from. That will be a positive for Gil, that he hasn’t aggravated the injury he picked up in pre-season, but he will now be hoping, that the groin strain that forced him to come off last night, isn’t a worry for the attacking midfielder.

“The Derby match was a good workout for the boys,” Sherwood told AVTV.
“They need games – the lads who haven’t been playing. It was a good fitness exercise first and foremost.
“I thought Jack was very good. He played to the last minute. He looked fit enough to maybe be up for selection this weekend.
“Carles came off with a tight groin which is an indication the lack of training he has actually done. He will get fitter.”
Jores Okore and Jose Angel Crespo are both back in training but are still some way off a return.
