Remi Garde has said that he is deciding whether his group of players need outside help from Sports Phycologist’s in a bid to help end Aston Villa awful run of games, according to ESPN.
Garde is yet to employ a Psychologist during his managerial career, something he alluded to during his Press Conference for Tuesday’s game against Crystal Palace – but he said he is open minded to the idea.
I’ve never used that in my teams, and that’s it. But I’m very open-minded and if the solution could be from there, then I could do that.
Garde went on to explain that as a manager he has never dealt with a situation like this, but he has as a player he has experience of a relegation battle during his playing days.
He went onto explain how the players had to be professional and help themselves get up the table.
“Every week I’m speaking about confidence but we have to try to have more confidence. I’m not waiting on a parcel in the post that will be full of confidence.”
“We have to be professional and generate it for ourselves.”
Villa are 7 points adrift of Sunderland and are in real danger of being left at the bottom with little hope if they do not get their act together soon.
