4 things we have learnt | West Ham v Aston Villa

Ayew needs to take a look at himself

Jordan Jordan Jordan…. A ridiculously stupid red card early on in the game. Moment of stupidity from one of our best performers this season.

We don’t have the guts to take the game to West Ham

Yes, we may have been down to 10 men but we didn’t even scare West Ham for the 90 minutes. It was backs against the wall for 90 minutes for Villa and it wasn’t good enough, we need more ambition in our play.

Micah Richards is our best right back, period.

Despite the loss, Richards looked a lot better today. We should carry on playing him there to help give us that edge going forward.

We’re down and out, and short of quality.

Other than Ayew, no player played terribly. We look devoid of confidence and quality and It isn’t obvious how we are going to get back from that.

Interested in Football, Politics and obviously Aston Villa.
