Carlos Corberán visited Aston Villa’s Marbella camp following his dismissal by Valencia, joining Unai Emery and Eder Sarabia during the international break.
AS reported the meeting on Friday, almost three weeks after Corberán lost his Valencia job on 13 September.
Villa director Damià Vidagany also featured in the gathering, which brought together several familiar faces from Spanish football.
Sarabia thanks Emery after Aston Villa visit
Former Elche coach Sarabia shared photographs of the meeting and thanked Villa for their welcome.
Nostresport’s account of his post described a morning spent exchanging ideas and learning, with Sarabia directing particular thanks towards Emery and Vidagany.
The reports describe a coaching visit and do not announce an appointment for either Corberán or Sarabia.
For Villa supporters, the meeting offers another glimpse into the professional connections around Emery during the club’s training camp in Spain.
Brentford test awaits after Sevilla victory
Villa also used the international break to secure a 3-1 friendly victory over Sevilla on Friday.
Ross Barkley, Alejandro Garnacho and Max Jenner scored as Emery’s side recovered from falling behind to win the Antonio Puerta Trophy.
The next challenge is carrying that preparation into competitive football.
Villa host Brentford on Saturday 10 October, with the visitors providing the first Premier League test after the break.
