So Roberto Di Matteo has been sacked after just 124 days in charge of Aston Villa.
Out of the 11 league games that Villa have played under Di Matteo, they have won only one, drawn seven and lost two.
Five of those draws were down to conceding late goals in the 85th, 86th, 87th, 88th, 89th and 90th minutes. As a result of this profligacy, Villa now sit in 19th place in the table, 13 points behind automatic promotion, 10 points behind a play-off place and, more worryingly, only two points above relegation.
The 2-0 defeat against Preston at the weekend was the last straw for Dr. Tony Xia and he has now decided that Di Matteo is not the right man to move Villa forward.
So who should replace the Italian in the Villa hot-seat? To find out the preferences of the fans, we’ve set up a duel.
Simply select which of these two men you’d like to see manage Villa next and we’ll go ‘winner-stays-on’ style until we get a final outcome.
