Steve Bruce is the new manager of Aston Villa Football Club.
The former Hull City boss takes over a team that has not lived up to expectations and finds itself at the wrong end of the Championship table.
Villa are closer to the relegation zone than the promotion places and that is simply not good enough, so it was no surprise to see Roberto Di Matteo sacked.
Bruce has around 20 years of management experience and has seen pretty much everything that needs to be seen. He has gained promotion to the Premier League on four separate occasions and Villa fans will be desperate for him to make it five.
However, it won’t be easy. Whilst Villa have a talented squad, there are some issues that need to resolved quickly if Bruce wants to be managing the club in the Premier League next season.
