Aston Villa consolidated their position in the Championship’s play-off places on Saturday afternoon thanks to a 2-1 victory over QPR at Loftus Road.
They now have a great chance to strengthen their hold on a coveted play-off place on Tuesday evening as they take on a struggling Sunderland at Villa Park.
The Black Cats have found life in the Championship extremely difficult and after seventeen matches, they find themselves sitting at the bottom of the table with just eleven points (one win, eight draws, and eight losses) – four points adrift of safety.
