Aston Villa’s social media team don’t always get the best press as some of their content is seen as a bit cringeworthy.
However, their latest tweet, mocking the new club crest of fellow Championship side Leeds United, has been met with a positive response.

When Leeds announced their new crest, a lot of people commented that it looked like something from video game Pro Evolution Soccer, a game famed for its odd logos and club names due to them not having an official license to use real crests and teams.
The Villa media team picked up on this and posted a tweet advertising ticket sales between their club and Leeds. However, they used the logo associated with Villa on the PES game, as well as the team names ‘West Midlands Village’ and ‘Yorkshire Whites’, the names that the two clubs are known as on the game.
