According to a report from the Sunday People, as covered by Birmingham Live, West Brom defender Craig Dawson is attracting the interest of Aston Villa.
The Baggies are currently having a torrid time in the Premier League and Dawson is one of many of their players who could look to move on if their relegation to the Championship is confirmed.
With Villa battling it out with their rivals for promotion from the Championship, they are looking to bolster their ranks ahead of next season.
Dawson has been at local rivals West Brom since 2010 and has made 143 appearances for the Baggies. He has turned out for them 25 times so far this season, contributing with two goals.
If Villa are promoted to the Premier League next season, Dawson could make a shrewd acquisition. He would add vast Premier League experience, quality and would give Villa another solid option at centre-back, which will help with an ageing John Terry should he extend his contract at the club.
