Middlesbrough are leading the race to sign Yannick Bolasie on loan from Everton, but Aston Villa have made a late push to sign the Congolese winger, as per a report from BirminghamLive.
The 29-year-old travelled to Middlesbrough yesterday for talks but returned to Merseyside without putting pen to paper on a deal and as such, Villa have seen an opportunity to make a late bid to take him for the season.

Steve Bruce has a knack of being able to convince players to reject moves elsewhere to join Villa and he’ll be hoping to do the same with Bolasie, despite the Everton man’s close relationship with Tony Pulis.
Bolasie’s original plan was to stay and fight for a place at Everton but it’s clear that he is not in Marco Silva’s plans and as such, he is prepared to go on loan to the Championship in order to secure regular first-team football.
