Tommy Elphick is on the brink of a move to Hull City, according to Philip Buckingham of Hull Live.
The defender had spent time on loan at Reading last season, and will again take a temporary leave from Villa Park on Deadline Day II: There Will Be Loans.

Making two appearances for Villa this season (one in the league, one in the cup), it was apparent that the former Bournemouth central defender was unlikely to feature prominently in Steve Bruce’s plans for the year ahead.
Not wanting him to sit on the sidelines, Bruce has taken the chance to send the veteran to East Yorkshire for the benefit of regular football.
Elphick joined Villa in the summer of 2016, and made 26 appearances in his first season in the Midlands.
Injury and form blighted the remainder of Elphick’s career however, with just six appearances coming in the 2017-18 campaign before his loan to Reading.
