Former Aston Villa striker Gabby Agbonlahor has issued a ‘come and get me plea’ of sorts to Celtic, by admitting that he’s keen on moving to the Scotish champions.
The former Villa man is currently a free agent after leaving the Midlands side and is still on the hunt for his next club.
The Englishman played in Saturday’s charity game between Team Petrov and Team Milner at Celtic Park and speaking after the 3-3 draw, Agbonlahor said:
At the moment I’m a free agent and considering my options. I want to do what is best for me and my family. I’ll discuss things with my agent and we’ll decide what happens next. Every player if they had the chance to play for Celtic would take it.
If the opportunity comes for me to play in Scotland and the move is right for me and my family then I would certainly look at it. I’m raring to go. I feel fit and I have been keeping myself ticking over.

Brendan Rodgers is thought to be looking for reinforcements in the striking department, with only really Odsonne Edouard and Leigh Griffiths available and both have had injury worries in the not-too-distant past.
A third striker to help cover the pair would be ideal to help manage what will again be a busy season at Celtic look to win another domestic treble, as well as make significant progress in the Europa League.
