Aston Villa are still working on a move to sign Aberdeen defender Scott McKenna, despite Steve Bruce’s sacking, as per a report from Pete O’Rourke.
Villa had a transfer deadline day bid for the centre-back rejected by Aberdeen but they’ve continued to watch him closely and will make another attempt to sign him in January.
McKenna has also been linked with moves to Celtic and Wolves in the recent past but Villa remain confident of securing a deal for the 21-year-old.

McKenna, who is facing a ban for two games after a tackle on Celtic’s Odsonne Edouard, has impressed once again this season and it seems a matter of time before he leaves the Dons.
Whether he goes to Celtic, Villa, Wolves or elsewhere remains to be seen. Hull and Swansea had interest in him during the summer too, so Villa will need to beat a lot of competition if they are to secure a deal.
