As per John Percy of the Telegraph, Villa will pay Gent €6m for the 28-year-old.

Villa had been linked with a move for the Croatian goalkeeper for some time, but work permit issues prevented two separate deals from being completed earlier in his career.

However, now that Kalinic has established himself in the Croatian national team, he should have no problem securing the permit he needs to complete the transfer to Villa Park.
The 28-year-old will officially join Villa in January and will become Dean Smith’s first major signing at the club.
Kalinic has been on Villa’s radar for a long time and whilst the club’s manager has changed, the desire to sign the 28-year-old has not and as such, he’s expected to become the club’s number one goalkeeper when the January window officially opens.
