Aston Villa came from two goals down to earn a point against Hull at Villa Park.
Villa were the better team for the first 20 minutes or so, but, despite this, they struggled to create a clear cut opportunity. They were made to pay for not making their possession count when poor defending from Neil Taylor allowed Jarrod Bowen to get a shot away and Lovre Kalinic somehow let the ball go straight through him.
Villa found themselves two goals behind ten minutes later when Evandro Goebel found himself free at the back post thanks to some more shocking defending. He couldn’t believe his luck and he fired the ball home.
The home side got themselves back into the game just before half-time when Chester headed in Conor Hourihane’s free-kick.
Dean Smith’s men were the better team in the second-half, and Tammy Abraham got the goal that his team deserved when he poked home from 16 yards in the 64th minute.
Both teams went in search of the winning goal, but neither could find one and the points were shared.
