Aston Villa striker Tammy Abraham picked up a calf injury in their 3-0 victory against Middlesbrough at the weekend, but, despite this, he was still deemed fit enough to be called up to the England U21 squad.
Villa fans were rightfully worried over the fitness of their top goalscorer, but Dean Smith played it down and said that it was nothing too serious.
However, he has not trained with the U21 squad and, according to a report in the Daily Mail, the 21-year-old is unlikely to play in the friendly match against Poland tonight.

When asked about the matter, Aidy Boothroyd, the U21 manager, said:
He’s improving, but with the time of the season, and what the players are going to go to as soon as they leave us, it’s important we wrap them in cotton wool, look after him, and make sure they all go back healthier than when they arrived.
Therefore, to the relief of all Villa fans, it seems that Abraham should be fit to play in their match against Blackburn Rovers on the 30 March.
