Aston Villa have lost loan midfielder Tom Carroll for the remainder of the season, with the player having returned to Wales after suffering a season-ending injury.
The 26-year old has struggled with a hip problem for much of the current campaign, having made just 13 appearances for Swansea before moving to Villa Park in January.

After just two substitute appearances for the Villans, Carroll returns to the Liberty Stadium, having undergone surgery on his hip problem.
On Carroll’s injury, Swansea manager Graham Potter said:
We’ve come to the end with all possible other solutions with his hip.
He’s had a disappointing season in that regard so he’s had surgery to fix it.
He’ll be back next week to start his rehab and looking to be back at the start of next season.
Carroll’s absence could be a minor blow for Aston Villa, who are still in the race for promotion to the Premier League.
Dean Smith’s men are currently in sixth place in the Championship table, one point above Derby County in seventh, although the Rams have a game in hand.
