Aston Villa made it nine wins from their last nine matches on Friday thanks to a 2-0 victory over Bolton Wanderers at the University of Bolton Stadium.
This win means that Dean Smith’s men have opened up a 6 point gap over Bristol City in 7th place. This is unbelievable as before this amazing winning run started Villa were sitting in 14th place, 8 points off the play-off places.
The Robins do still have a game in hand but that is against Derby, so Villa will be hoping for a draw in that match so that two of their promotion rivals drop points.
Villa, in their history, have never won ten matches in a row but they have a wonderful chance to do so on Monday as they take on Millwall at Villa Park.
Millwall have struggled this season and are just three points above the relegation zone. Therefore, it would be somewhat of a surprise if Villa failed to pick up all three points, especially as the game is at Villa Park.
However, the Championship is the most unpredictable league in the world, so Villa cannot afford to be complacent.
Here is our predicted Villa XI for Monday’s game against Millwall:
