Dean Smith is set to meet with Aston Villa’s sporting director Jesus Garcia Pitarch this week to discuss the future’s of six senior players who are out-of-contract this summer.
Villa will return to the Premier League next season following Monday’s 2-1 victory over Derby County in the Championship play-off final, and plans for next season will now have to be made.
According to Sky Sports, Smith will sit down with Pitarch on Wednesday this week in order to talk about the futures of Mile Jedinak, Albert Adomah, Glenn Whelan, Tommy Elphick and Alan Hutton.

Micah Richards is also out of contract this summer, but Smith is all but certain to release the defender on a free transfer, with the 30-year-old’s last competitive appearance for Villa coming in October 2016.
Smith faces a slightly trickier task with the likes of Elphick, Jedinak, Adomah, Whelan and Hutton, however, as all five featured for Villa this season in their run to the play-off final.
