Aston Villa have reportedly joined Everton and La Liga side Valencia in the race to land Lille forward Rafael Leao this summer.
According to Spanish outlet Superdeporte, cited by Sports Witness, Villa have emerged as contenders to land the exciting youngster, who is available to leave the Ligue 1 side for €30m this summer.
Villa boss Dean Smith has already bolstered his attacking options with the signing of Club Brugge striker Wesley Moares and could well break the club record once again for Leao’s services this summer.

The report states that Valencia will look to sign the 20-year-old at the end of the current window, which would leave the door open for Villa over the next six weeks to sign the striker.
Leao, who joined Lille last summer on a free transfer from Sporting Lisbon, is regarded as a future star across Europe and excelled in his first full season, scoring eight times in the French top tier.
Villa are expected to bring in another forward ahead of the new season, so a move for Leao could prove to be an excellent piece of business.
