Axel Tuanzebe is set to sign a new contract at Manchester United amid reported interest from Aston Villa.
The promising defender spent the duration of last season on loan at Villa Park and played a crucial role as the club won the play-offs to secure promotion back to the Premier League.
Such was the level of Tuanzebe’s displays at Villa, reports in recent weeks suggested that the club would pursue a permanent deal for the player.

However, according to claims from The Daily Mail, the 21-year-old is not likely to head away from Old Trafford again this summer, with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer set to hand him a new deal.
The Manchester United boss is keen to assess what Tuanzebe has to offer in pre-season and could yet give him the chance to feature in the first-team squad next term.
Aston Villa have been linked with a plethora of centre-backs already this summer following both Tyrone Mings and Tuanzebe’s respective returns from loan to their parent clubs, and it seems they could miss out on the youngster.
