Aston Villa, Leeds United and West Brom have all been warned that any deal to sign Sam McCallum from Coventry will cost “a hell of a lot of money.”
Speaking about the player’s future, as reported by the Birmingham Mail, Mark Robins was stern in his words as he addressed the recent interest in his player.
No. He’s a really good player. But if anyone wants to take him it’s going to cost a hell of a lot of money.
Several clubs have been linked with a move to sign McCallum from Coventry following his impressive start to the season.
Nottingham Forest and recently relegated Huddersfield Town have also been touted as potential suitors for the player.
After breaking through last season, the youngster has nailed down a first-team spot at Coventry this time around – playing a key role in their brilliant start to the new campaign.
The defender is under contract until 2022, meaning Coventry will be able to demand a fairly reasonable fee for his services.
