Aston Villa‘s start to the season could hardly have gone any better, winning five out of their seven Premier League games.
Dean Smith’s side have been excellent for the most part so far, winning the opening four games before two defeats prior to last weekend’s trip to Arsenal.
The Villans produced a superb performance against the Gunners at the Emirates Stadium, netting three goals without reply to leave themselves sixth in the table nearly a quarter of the way through the season.
Ollie Watkins, who netted a brace in that game, was rewarded as his performance gained him a place in FIFA 21’s Team of the Week, something plenty of Villa fans celebrated via Twitter.

Another key performer this season has been the typically consistent Jack Grealish, who was in particularly good form against Arsenal and was the subject of reports earlier this week that Manchester United are reigniting their interest in the 25-year-old.
One fan did not to kindly to the transfer reports and hit back at BBC Sport’s tweet on United’s apparent interest.
Twitter: Boring @BBCSport – it’s NOT going to happen, you need to let it go. @JackGrealish is Villa. If (and it’s a big IF)… https://t.co/5B0A98oyyU (@DSianB)
Further good news came as Villa’s official Twitter account released footage of Brazilian striker Wesley as he stepped up his return to full fitness.

Finally, to add a bit of spruce to Villa’s news this week, two players were linked with a potential move to Villa Park. The first was Milot Rashica, who was linked heavily with a move from German side Werder Bremen this summer.
Villa fans seemed unsure of a potential return to the market for the Kosovo attacker, however, with one supporter saying the 24-year-old is not wanted anymore.

Finally, an exciting transfer story saw Fabio Baptista of Benfica linked with the Midlands clubs, prompting some fans to call on Villa to speed up a transfer move and stop Wolves from possibly adding yet another Portuguese player to their ranks.
