Could EgyptAir become Aston Villa’s new front-of-shirt-sponsor?
  • Aston Villa are still without a new front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2027/27 season and beyond
  • Rumours have linked Villa with many companies with the latest EgyptAir after a recent video
  • Visit Rwanda has also been speculated in the last couple of weeks, potentially becoming Villa’s new sleeve sponsor

Aston Villa are yet to announce their front-of-shirt sponsor for the 2026/27 season and beyond. Rumours have circulated with many companies linked, but the latest sees EgyptAir as a potential new sponsor, after a recent video.

Following an incredible season that culminated in a historic Europa League triumph in Istanbul, Villa are preparing for another thrilling campaign in the Champions League. To sustain their on-the-pitch success, however, their revenue needs to catch up to the levels of the “big six.”

With their current deal with Betano as their front-of-shirt sponsor expiring, and the Premier League’s ban on gambling sponsors, the door is now open to secure a new, lucrative sponsorship deal.

The trajectory of the club and the success in the last couple of seasons makes Villa a very attractive destination, offering a chance for a record-breaking deal compared to their previous one.

EgyptAir – The new front-of-shirt frontrunner?

The search for a new primary sponsor intensified after Villa launched their 2026/27 home kit completely sponsorless. With the incoming Premier League ban on gambling brands, the Fair Market Value (FMV) of current front-of-shirt sponsors of clubs was published, with Villa’s marked at £26.2 million per year.

This figure signals that the Villans will likely secure a new deal above that, given last season’s success.

Speculation of a new deal followed a video that circulated on the social media platform X. The footage captured Villa’s billionaire co-owner, other club executives and football operations staff land at Bristol Airport in an EgyptAir jet.

The video sparked rumours that Sawiris may be using his connections to his native Egypt to secure a new front-of-shirt sponsor for his club. Villa already has links to the Egyptian market through their partnership with ZED FC.

Visit Rwanda the potential sleeve sponsor?

While the main shirt sponsor remains a hot topic, the club is also working fast to fill its sleeve vacancy, with its deal with Trade Nation expiring this summer.

According to recent industrial updates tracked by Facts On Rwanda on X, tourism initiative Visit Rwanda could be set to sign a deal to become Villa’s new sleeve sponsor.

The tourism brand has opted not to renew its flagship sleeve partnership with Arsenal, an agreement that previously brought the Gunners a lucrative £10 million per year. Visit Rwanda is reportedly shifting its marketing budget to find more cost-effective but highly visible avenues.

Fresh off their European glory and boasting guaranteed Champions League television coverage, Villa represents the ideal destination.

Ultimately, these two potential deals would signal the incredible global pull Villa now yields. The need to grow their revenue is paramount, and the position the club currently finds itself in, means they are in a great place to secure lucrative sponsorship deals to do that.

If Villa want to break the “big six” mould, they must maintain success both on and off the pitch. This is the only way they can avoid the restrictions they face in the transfer market due to the financial rules and become an established elite powerhouse at the top of the Premier League and Europe.
